No, objects don`t have feelings. We only make certain objects important for us because they are part of our life. For example a toy that we had when we were little reminds us of those happy times and so we keep it because it brings back memories. This doesn`t mean that the toy will mind if we throw it away. It`s just our impression of the object that makes it important and alive. Objects can`t have feelings because they aren`t alive.



Animals have feelings because they can cry, be happy or sad. We can see when a dog is happy because he wags his tail or when he`s upset because he makes crying sounds. Also a dolphin is happy when he communicates through his weird and very loud sounds and when he jumps around in the water. We can see these reactions at animals and we can imagine what they are trying to say, but objects will never be able to give us hints that explain their feelings. A book has no feelings and no reactions, it can only make us sad or impressed of what it is written in it.

Well, this is only a fantasy of the age. We all have feelings for some objects but there is no way it could also be possible the other way around. Kids play games with their toys and make situations inspired from the real life. We have all gone through this period and it`s something normal. Some people, still have a hard time parting from their special things like : their first car, cell phone, a present they got from their lover etc. Everyone can talk to inanimate objects because it`s a game.


We all pretend to have a conversation with our toys , our car especially. Many people talk to their car, name it and take care of it as if it were a woman. Especially men have a soft spot for this inanimate big object that helps them go places. A car is an object no matter what you think. Some try to speak with it when it doesn`t work and if it gives signs of improvement they think that the car listened to them. Well because it`s an object it can`t have reactions at sweet words but it`s nice to think that your car listens only to you. In the end, we all want sometimes to believe that our favorite object has feelings, it kinda makes loneliness go away. It`s not a shame to talk to objects and it`s not weird either. Even if many don`t say it, they do it at home or alone in the car.
