Parents can choose the easy way meaning , drawing next to their kids silly faces on plastic plates or paper plates. Kids love handcrafting and so it`s going to be a great pastime for the both of you. Besides this game, at school or at home kids teachers or parents can keep a Chart of Feelings and Faces . For example a list with every day of the week and the feelings that the child had that day. Monday X was happy, Tuesday he was bored, Wednesday happy again and so on. It`s a great way to follow your kids attitude towards life and if there is something wrong then you can see it very clearly. This chart of feelings and faces helps also teacher to follow the progress the kids have made. They can also identify what feeling they had that they and wrote it themselves. Kindergarten is preparing children for school and this is the only period they have left to enjoy games and learning through activities.
There are also other charts that also help , like food charts, candy charts nutrition chart etc. At kindergarten kids also learn about what products are good for them and what are not. Because they would eat only junk food and candy, teachers can make different plays with vegetables in them,. For example Mr Carrot is dancing with Mrs Tomatoe, or the broccoli is very upset that he lost his all time love the Bean. All these ideas are funny and kids love to laugh. They also learn important lessons like the fact that they should eat more vegetables or to combine carrots and tomatoes because they are not bad. It`s difficult to make a child eat vegetables instead of a candy bar, but through a well thought plan kids can be fooled .
In the end, Chart of Feelings and Faces are useful for children and mentally challenged people. Nurses have games like this one in hospitals and every kindergarten is equipped with more than thee games. Adults need also to learn about feelings because it seems that more and more people just don`t know what they are feeling and they throw big amounts of money at therapists to tell them they are depressed or upset.
